A successful mission to the Kingdom
The Chamber's February 2026 trade delegation to Riyadh has concluded with the signing of eight memoranda of understanding between New Zealand and Saudi companies, collectively valued at NZ$65 million.
MOUs signed
The eight agreements span three priority sectors:
Dairy Processing (3 MOUs, NZ$28M)
- Whey protein isolate supply to Saudi sports nutrition company
- Technical advisory for new dairy processing facility in Tabuk
- Halal certification framework for NZ dairy exports
Education & Training (3 MOUs, NZ$22M)
- English language training programme for Saudi scholarship students
- Digital learning platform licence for 15 Saudi technical colleges
- Teacher exchange programme between NZ and Saudi universities
Healthcare Technology (2 MOUs, NZ$15M)
- Telehealth platform deployment in three Saudi regional hospitals
- Medical device distribution agreement for NZ-manufactured surgical instruments
Delegation composition
The 14-member delegation included representatives from 9 New Zealand companies across dairy, education, and health technology, accompanied by a New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) representative.
Next steps
